How do they know if the cancer has not spread out of the breast? Biopsy said suspicious of lymphovascular invasion. Lymph nodes 0/2. Grade 3.

Hi, I had a sentinel node biopsy done during my lumpectomy surgery. I too had remarks similar to yours on my initial biopsy report, and it was DCIS Grade 3. My sentinel node biopsy results were no invasion beyond where it originated. I pray that yours is as mine was. Do't be afraid, they can take care of it. Hugs pc

Pc, posted before I was through. Just wondered if anymore testing would be done because of the involvement of the blood vessel system. Did you have any other testing? Thanks, Lou

Lou, they did not do any other testing for me other than the sentinel node biopsy. I did have a breast MRI before my lumpectomy and it only showed the DCIS. They told me grade 3 At the first biopsy, so the sentinel node biopsy was done to make sure nothing was going on. I had a shortened version of external beam partial radiation for one week twice daily. I have mammograms every 6 months and blood work every six months. Thus far, all is well. I do believe I can understand how you are feeling right about now. I still have days when I worry if it will come back, then I remember whose hands I placed all that stuff in. God's hands. Hang in there Lou. They can fix you up just like they did for me. I do pray all goes well for you too. Hugs pc. P.s. google the video called Stronger by Mandisa...that is my song for this journey.

I had a PET scan before and after Chemo. I had it after my lumpectomy and rexcision to make sure Cancer didn't get to other parts of my body, which thank G-d it didn't.

Lou perhaps they checked tumor drainage pattern. Sentinel dye test and dissection during surgery. Think of it as a chain reaction but these are lymph pots that have a set pattern of fluid interaction. Best
