Ask doc. Lots depends on how many lymphs are taken. I flew several weeks after my surgery and if it weren't for an old fashioned ice bag, I don't know what I would have done. It was a 2 hour, then 4 hour flight. I wasn't supposed to have any problems with my arm swelling or anything, but I did. Good luck.

Also if you have any lymph edema you should make sure you are treating that. I got a compression sleeve, but you should ask you dr for sure!
