I would request an MRI. I know you are probably going to get a few other suggestions for other diagnostics... but the MRI was the one that really showed my breast cancer in it's full glory. I was also given a clean bill of health after 15 mammograms (YES... 15) and an ultrasound. My breast was also very dense and they couldn't really get a clear shot.
7 months later i felt a lump in my breast that turned out to be invasive ductal cancer a 2.2 cm tumor staged 2B with one positive node.
I want to commend you for pursuing this further. My breast also felt funny and I had odd sensations but I just went along with what the doctor said.... "It was ok." When your gut is whispering something to you.... listen. Please follow through with your suspicions.
Take care, and please keep us posted. Sharon

Nancy, I hope for your sake this all turns out to be nothing. You have a very strong survival instinct and I applaud you for relieving your worry by asking for a more in depth test. For my own peace of mind, I have an MRI each year... six months...

My Dr. Also suggested the MRI because of dense breast. I have been having breast pain close to 3 months.

My breast cancer was missed because of dense breast tissue. When I had an MRI, it lit up like a light bulb! Get one ASAP! Take care, Sharon
