    Hello Mary, This would be a question to ask your doctor. When I looked it up just from a "Google" search "Pet Scan Locally Metastic Breast Cancer" what kept coming up was the word "advanced." You need more information as to what type of breast cancer, lymph node involvment, are the cells, fast growing types, how large is the tumor, etc. There are lots of way to treat the many different types of breast cancer but it gets down to the cell level... and a whole lot more information. Keep in touch with us. There is a bunch of us out here who have been through what you are going through.
