Laura, This is a great group, of women, all very generous with sharing their experiences. I, too, had IDC 5+ years ago. Went through treatment and remain free of cancer. You have the most common form of breast cancer and many options for treatment. Hang in there and take care, Sharon

Hi Sharon - Glad to meet you! Hopefully this will remain limited to IDC, but the other spots could throw a monkey wrench in that. We'll know more after tomorrow - I'm going in for an MRI biopsy (bilateral) in the morning. It was supposed to be yesterday but the hospital lost a part off of the biopsy machine. Go figure. Taking deep breaths and lots of prayers. :). Thanks - have a great day!!

Like Sharon said, Laura, this is a wonderful group of women who are here to help you all along the way. Between the hundreds/thousands of us, someone has experienced every single thing you're going to go through. Stay in close touch and be sure to ask anything. We're all pretty open and frank on this site. No question is too weird or disconcerting as long as you're willing to ask it!

Welcome Laura. Sorry you have had to join us but sure glad you found us. You will 'meet' a bunch of great ladies who have all been where you are. We are all here for you. Nothing is too personal or silly, so ask away. Or share what you would like. I too was diagnosed with IDC last feb. bilateral mastectomy, 6 rounds of TCH, a year of herceptin and 5 years of tomoxifen as I am triple positive. Prayers to you.

Hi Andre' - glad to meet you! We're hoping all we're dealing with is the IDC, but we'll know more tomorrow after an MRI biopsy (bilateral) of the other problem areas that have shown up. Right now I feel like the best-scanned woman in southern Illinois, but I know there's folks going through WAY more than me so I just need to get over it. It will be so good to finally get on with an actual game plan and get on with the fight!!! Thank you again - have a great day!!

Very glad to meet you - know that you also are stronger than you know. Hope you're doing well. :)
