I was diagnosed with DCIS stage 0. I had a bilateral mastectomy. My oncologist told me I would not get it again. They removed all of my tissue and both nipples. dCIS grows in the tissue. She also removed lymph nodes to make sure it wasn't in them. I am 100% cancer free because of my mastectomy. I hope this helps.
