Has anyone taken aroma taste inhibitors? So far, I have just seen information on people taking Tamoxifin.

Mary, I am also on this type of drug. It is given to postmenapausal women. I am taking the generic drug for "Femara" that is called Letrozole. I am in my 5th year and expect I will get to quit is in January. I have really bad hot flashes from it and osteoporosis. Other than those two things, I have been able to tolerate it. Some women get bad joint and muscle pain so they have to be switched to something else. Here is more information on aromatase inhibitors. Take care, Sharon http://www.breastcancer.org/treatment/hormonal/aromatase_inhibitors/index.jsp

Thank you for the information! I had such a bad reaction to the chemo drugs and got every side effect possible so am Leary about taking anything else! My onco type score was a 2 so I am really wondering how badly I need these drugs!?

I've been on Femara since June. Biggest side effect so far is a little depression and a little tingly feelings over my skin occasionally. Nothing unbearable . Good luck. :-) Jo

Mary, I have been taking Arimidec since the middle of December. I have been fortunate to have had no side effects . Since I didn't have hot flashes during menopause, my oncologist said that I probably wouldn't from the medication. She was right. My one issue is that I am trying to lose some weight. The Arimidex apparently is making that much more difficult. Good
