I was fatigued the entire time. Still am. Not as bad and it's been 4 months since my last radiation treatment. How long has it been for you?

I spoke to the doctor about it today. Once again, he poo-pood my complaints. I feel so sick. I haven't even started the Tamoxifen yet. I don't think I will.

I never had fatigue to speak of during my radiation treatments. Have you talked with your doctor(s) about it and make sure there isn't anything else going on?

I'm sorry to hear your doctor isn't listening to your concerns as fatigue can occur with rads. Have you been getting adequate sleep and eating well?

Betti, I tend to wonder if I'm sleeping too much but if I sleep more, I can't get anything done. I'm getting about 7 hours of good sleep. Taking vitamins, B complex, Magnesium, as well as my usual vitamins. I should eat better but getting to the...

Betti, I tend to wonder if I'm sleeping too much but if I sleep more, I can't get anything done. I'm getting about 7 hours of good sleep. Taking vitamins, B complex, Magnesium, as well as my usual vitamins. I should eat better but getting to the store is difficult. I'm drinking my protein shakes that usually help a great deal until the 2nd week of radiation. I'm going to see a new Rheumatologist today. I recently relocated to Florida to be closer to family. I hope this doctor will take my complaints seriously.

Saw the rheumatologist. He thinks it's all from the inflammation and being off the biologic medication. He gave me a month's worth of medication until the new script gets approved by my insurance. That was generous and unexpected. Hopefully in a...

I really don't feel like I have a month left in me. I want my life back. This radiation crap is killing me.

Look on the bright side you are almost done with your radiation treatments. I pray you get feeling better really soon.

Thank you Betti. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. If I had to do it all over again, I'd either opt out of radiation altogether or, knowing now of when I was starting my new job, I would've gone for the 5 days in hospital...

Thank you Betti. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. If I had to do it all over again, I'd either opt out of radiation altogether or, knowing now of when I was starting my new job, I would've gone for the 5 days in hospital SAVI intracavitary radiation. Get it all over with at once. I know people have said that one has to find something that keeps them strong and going. Here now, I have 6 treatments left which has drained every last bit I've had left and I've turned to a song by REO Speedwagon that my sister listened to over and over while she was going through Dental Hygiene called Keep Pushin' On. I'm dating myself on that one! The early 80's rock was the best! Keep Pushin' On.

Oh ya....slept lots....had 4 hour naps during the day. My dr recommend b12 to help energy. I still feel fatigued if I push myself. In bed between 7 and 9 and up around 6...and still a mid day nap. My radiation ended in march with herseptin continuing on until Oct. I had another mammogram it came back clear but no one had said I am cancer free.

I had no side effects other than a sunburn looking breast after 35 treatments. The Color came back after treatments ended.

Between breast cancer lumpectomy and radiation I was also diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

I'm so sorry Sharla. As if we don't have enough on our plates, adding in more painful conditions is too much. :-(
